The website legal pack is the basic regulatory furniture every commercial site needs: privacy policy, cookie policy, terms of use, and (for selling sites) terms of sale. The drafting work is in tailoring each document to what the site does.
Why generic packs miss the point
Templates downloaded from generic providers almost always overstate or understate the position, and the gaps are visible to anyone who reads the documents carefully.
A pack drafted for the specific business sets the right tone and supports the rest of the compliance picture. It is also, for many founders, the first piece of tangible evidence that the business takes its legal obligations seriously.
Saves over £300 compared to purchasing each document individually.
Example: a typical scope and fixed fee
For a UK business launching a new website or replacing outdated legal pages, the typical scope looks like this.
What's included

- Final versions ready to publish on your website
What's outside this scope
- Consumer-facing e-commerce terms (see Consumer Terms and Conditions or the E-commerce Launch Pack)
- Cookie banner implementation or technical setup
- Ongoing monitoring for regulatory changes
- Tax advice
Fixed fee: £595, no VAT.
How I will approach your matter
Once you have instructed me, I will arrange a consultation to understand your business, website, and how you collect and use personal data. The pack will be tailored to what your site does, with all three documents drafted together for consistency.
Common questions
Does every website need these pages?
If your website collects any personal data (even just through a contact form, analytics, or cookies), you are legally required to have a privacy policy and a cookie policy. Website terms and conditions are not strictly required by law, but are strongly recommended to limit your liability and set out the rules for using your site.
