I provide legal services to businesses and individuals. I am frequently instructed in the following:

• Share and asset sale and purchase.
• Starting a new business, franchise or joint venture.
• Contract drafting, review, advice and negotiation.
• Disputes, including providing advice on strengths and weaknesses of a party’s position, strategic advice on how to handle disputes, letters before claim and litigation.
• Employment matters, such as contracts of employment, changes in the workforce, advising on the enforceability of restrictive covenants and other contractual terms, and advising on employment tribunal claims and settlement agreements.
• Providing independent legal advice for personal guarantees and other documents where another party, such as a lender, requires it.
• Corporate law matters such as drafting and advising on shareholder agreements and articles of association.
• Intellectual property-related documents, such as non-disclosure agreements and licensing agreements for intellectual property rights.
• Commercial leases (including new leases and assignments), licences and tenancies at will.

I am authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority as a freelance solicitor and handle many matters in my own name, for which I hold £1m professional indemnity insurance.

For matters such as litigation and handling client money (for example, holding money on account for a business purchase), I work with third-party law firms. It will still be me doing the work, but you will contract with the firm rather than me directly. The contractual arrangements will be made clear at the outset of the engagement.
